‘Lieutenant Lancewood’

A true Paddock to Person creation with merino fleece sourced from a Central Otago high country sheep station, hand felted into panels by an artisan felter, then hand beaded and tailored by designer/maker Jane Avery.

A utilitarian jacket for an eco-warrior, ‘Lieutenant Lancewood’s’ shoulder adornment celebrates the exquisite detail of New Zealand flora with a playful nod to military rank and style. The rustic texture of the hand felted merino wool is reminiscent of its origin in the heights of the Ida Valley while wild rabbit fur is gainfully employed as hood lining and cuffs, rebuffing the harsh winds of this oft unforgiving environment.

One of a three piece capsule collection awarded Supreme Winner of the Central Otago WoolOn Creative Fashion Event 2023.  Now part of the permanent WoolOn collection.
